The watcher in me was itching to find out what 'The balance' was but I was having trouble looking at Doc, let alone speaking at that moment.
"Feeling better?" Jessy asked me.
"Yeah" I murmured. Willow's healing was amazing, physically I felt a hundred times better though I knew I still looked a site but mentally-well I had brought it on myself but it had to be done. I took a deep breath. "Um guys, do you think Doc and I could have a moment alone please?"

I nodded at Jessy, who gave me one last glance before leaving with Willow in tow. As soon as they'd all left, i look at Charlotte calmly.
"The baby's mine, isn't it." It wasn't a question.

"yes." I said simply, surprised at how easy it was. "Against all the odds." He stood there in silence and I tried awkwardly to get up.
"Here." Doc helped me to my feet.
"Thanks." an awkward pause. "Everything seems harder with a bump this size." He wasn't smiling. "Doc I know this is wierd, I didn't plan on it but I promise you I'm not going to ask much of you. I'm not going to ask you for money or anything, you don't need to be involved at all if you don't want to. Doc, if my being here is messing anything up for you I'll go straight back home."
"Don't be stupid." He growled. "You're not going back."
"Doc I'm rather take another pounding than hurt you more than I already have. I came here for two reasons; to tell you about the baby and to keep it safe. I've done one and I can do the other somewhere else if you want, if not though that's the only thing I want, I just want our baby to be safe."

"No idea." I replied. "I haven't really been so much to the doctor lately, tends to mean awkward questions and strange looks. The baby must be coming pretty soon though, there's only one date it could have...you know" I felt myself going red "and it'll be nine months from that day in a couple of weeks."
"A couple of weeks?" Doc repeated.
"Yeah. Not so long really." To be honest i hadn't really wanted to think about it being so soon, I hadn't really thought about anything beyond getting here and talking to Doc. He was silent for a moment then, sounding genuinely curious asked,
"How were you allowed on the plane so far on?"
"My job carries a few benefits with it, I guess I used my position to my advantage."
"Your job as a watcher?" Doc asked.
"Of a sort."

Suddenly I stumbled, even though i was satndign still. Faith caught me and held on until she was sure i was steady.
"You ok Mai?" She asked.
"Erm... yeah." I replied, a little confused, "I'm fine... I just got a... a shock."
"What shock?" FAith asked, looking around with a deep frown of equal confusion.
"I..er...dont know..." I replied with a nervos chuckle.
