I looked over at Rory and raised an eyebrow slightly confused

'But I can still smell a soul'

Nicki frowned, and looked around the room Her eyes widened a little.
[Chelle and Killian... they're with a vamp called Grace now.] i told her silently, [But this is meant to be a happy night- please dont say anything.]
She nodded, forcing a smile, and i nodded back.
"So!" I said outloud, "Food?"

[Nicola Next]

'Food! Always cool' I noticed the Sunnydale Crew for the first time and grinned 'You would not believe how much I've heard about you from Mai over here'

[Joshua]

While everyone suddenly made a mad dash for the kitchen/reception area/food tables/bar (take your pick) I suddenly slapped my head in frustration as an idea suddenly struck me with a memory.

"Mai!" I grabbed her and held her back from the crowd for several moments.

"Huh? What is it Josh?" she turned towards me.

"I totally forgot in the excitement, and other drama of the party, and only just now remembered," I explained, "Remember with that whole testing thing, which thankfully is over now?"

"Yeah, tell me about it," she said with a sarcastic, but relieved roll of her eyes.

"I remember making you a promise about something," I cryptically added with a just-as-mysterious smile.

Maya's face scrunched up in confusion. "You know, a lady in my health has to eat you know, so if this is gonna take long . . ."

"After I made it out of the lava pit, I promised to show you how I learned to run up the cliff face," I prompted a reminder.

She blinked, stunned, surprised, and excited all at once. "For real?" she whispered.

I nodded, still smiling. "Would you still like me to teach you the walking up walls trick?" I asked, proving her suspicions correct. (I'll leave the answer up to Maya, or anybody that wants to take a guess at her reaction)

[Maya]

"Hell yes." I replied, "Just... it might have to wait, y'know..." I looked down briefly, "I dont think i'm quite in a position to be walking up walls... but hey, this is going way quicker than its meant to- i think our daughter takes after her dad," I grinned at him, "So hopefully pretty soon I'll be up for it."
"You really think...?" He said, meaning the baby. I nodded,
"I do. Not only is it going way quick, but last week, I knocked a plater off the worktop, and the last 20 seconds rewound."
"Ah." He chuckled.
"Yeah, so... powers." I shrugged.

[Joshua]

"That's my little chic-a-dee," I cooed, holding Maya's only very slightly distended belly, more like a gently roll of womanly curves that made her even more attractive to me. Not to mention I had noticed her rack was seriously swelling up the past week or so.

"OW!" I cried from the slap across my head, "OW!!" I screamed again with another slap across my arm. "What was that--OW! FOR??!" she had slapped me again on the other arm.

Next thing I knew we were locked in one of the most passionate kisses we have ever shared to date. "That's for the rack comment," she whispered huskily as she broke off the kiss.

I just nodded dumbly, trying to figure out why I had lost all feeling below and above my lips.

"So, let's go eat," she dragged me willingly, not that I had much control over my body at the moment, to where the food was.

My grin, I think, actually split my head open so Doc would later have to attach a hinge.

(((I was gonna start a technical explanation about chi use and meditation and how it was good for the baby if she learned how to do this while carrying, but then Maya went off on the whole daughter thing, and this sort of just struck me as inspiration, so there we go. And I would like to point out, I don't make crude comments, I give compliments.)))

"Does anyone miss them arguing?" I said dreamily.

'God no. The times they had to be wrenched apart...' I shivered 'Trying to actually get them to talk? Been there, done that and never ever want to go there again'

[Charlotte]

"I can't believe they were so bad. I mean look at them." I indicated Mai and Josh still remarkably close together.
"Well you and Doc aren't much better." Jessy pointed out.
"Yeah well." I shrugged and wrapped Doc's arms around my waist. "It's my birthday, so we can be as bad as I like."

[Joshua]

I finally snapped out of my stupor to catch the tail end of the girls' conversation. "Hey, I'll have you know Mai and I lead by example. So you can go either way Charlotte;" I told the birthday girl, "Fight all the time so that when you finally get together you're all lovey-dovey like me and Mai are now."

Pause while I get smacked, lightly this time, on the back of the head.

"Or you can start off like Mai and I are now and figure things out from there," I finished. "Personally, I'm glad I took the hard route, and if you slap me again while you're holding that plate of food, we all know it's going to start a food fight," I said without even turning to look at Maya, who was glaring at the back of my head while she was grabbing food off the table/bar and alternating between putting it in her mouth and on her plate. Sometimes both.

"It'd be worth it," she threatened.

I turned and smiled, causing her to blush as she continued to rack up on food. "Not even you would eat food off the floor, and that's where it'd all end up if a food fight got going. Ooo, strawberries," I reached for the fruit.

[Maya]

"Oooh, strawberries." I agreed, remembering our first date. He grinned, and picked one up, but suddenly Nicki was between us,
"Ok, there is a limit, k guys?"
I giggled.
"Spoil sport."

[Joshua]

"And whose gonna stop us?" I challenged, and then turned to feed Maya the strawberry I had just picked, as she did the same for me.

[Maya]

Jessy made gagging noises, and Nicki rolled her eyes, while i giggled some more. Josh and i shared a strawberry flavoured kiss, each skillfully balancing a plate of food on one hand.

[Pepper]

I was laughing violently which wasn't helped by Jess'ys gagging noises.
