I watched the argument. I ran out of coke. I waved at the bartender and another drink showed up.

((Priz. I got an idea for something. Can you do something for me?))

"...And when I do, it's because nothing else will work. Humans have ben coming up with way to make things easier for years, from travel to simple house cleaning, and when something doesn't work, we try another idea. We learn from our mistakes, for the most part. That's what being human is all about. I've notcie you're bosses make a lot of the same mistakes."

"How dare you..."

"'In every generation, there is one girl,'" I quoted. "'One girl in all the world with the strength, the power, yadda, yadda, yadda'. How many of those 'one girls' di you guys go through before Buffy and co. got there hands on the Scythe. And don't say it was human's fault. Sure, the first Watcher's did the deed, but you're the ones that let it continue. You're the ones that decided to use teh girls as Champions, without asking. You could have made it easier on them. Why didn't you?" Silence. "That's what i thought. Now, what are these troubles that are forcing you to turn to the lowly, destructvie, power hungry, control freak of a human race for help, mh?"

(((Basically, we're going back and forth trying to see who's going to stumble first. This particular tirade refers to the Vampire Slayers. When the series first began, there was only one, the Chosen One, Buffy. In the last season, you find out that teh slayer's are actually part demon, thanks to the first Watchers - they have another title, but I'm not sure what that was. What Doc's asking is why teh Powers That Be, who were using the Slayers as thier Champions, didn't lighten the load when it became clear that they were dying of early, some times mere months to a year after they were called, instead of letting it go on as it did until Willow activated al the Potentials.)))
